When summer hits, all I crave is something icy, fruity, and halal. These halal mango popsicles made from juicy Pakistani mangoes are my go-to dessert during hot days. They’re refreshing, easy to make, and a total hit at halal summer gatherings. These homemade mango popsicles with Pakistani mangoes are also kid-friendly as they’re made with real fruit. I like the fact that no artificial flavors are needed in this recipe.
This halal dessert recipe with mango uses all halal-certified ingredients. I avoid any commercial mango-flavored powders or gelatin that may contain questionable additives. Instead, I suggest:
Step 1: Choose your mango wisely
I always recommend Pakistani mangoes. They’re rich, sweet, and naturally smooth. Peel, slice, and discard the pit. Make sure the mangoes are fully ripe. If the mango isn't sweet enough, your popsicles won’t shine.
Step 2: Blend it all together
In a blender, add the mango flesh, halal-certified coconut milk, sweetener of your choice (stevia is a good option if you want to make it sugar-free), lemon juice, and a tiny pinch of salt. Blend until completely smooth. I like to taste the mixture before pouring. It should feel like a mango smoothie. If needed, adjust the sweetness.
Step 3: Pour into molds
Carefully pour the mixture into your popsicle molds. No popsicle molds? No problem! Just pour the mixture into small paper cups, cover them with foil, and insert a stick through the center. Lightly tap the cups on the counter to release any trapped air bubbles.
Step 4: Freeze patiently!
Place the molds in the freezer for at least 6 to 8 hours. Don’t be tempted to check too early! It might mess up the texture.
Step 5: Unmold and enjoy
To easily remove them, run warm water over the outside of the mold for a few seconds. Wiggle gently to release. Serve immediately with some mango cubes and mint leaves on the side for a fresh touch!
If you're making these halal mango popsicles for Eid, iftar, or a halal-friendly summer party, consider adding small mango chunks into the mold before pouring in the puree. It adds a fun texture, especially for kids. And trust me. Dairy-free mango popsicles like these are a lifesaver when you want something sweet but not heavy after dinner.
Wrap each popsicle in parchment paper or store them inside the mold with a lid. You can keep them in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. I don’t recommend keeping them longer as they may develop freezer burn or lose flavor.
Serve these frozen mango treats with:
They’re also great after enjoying halal summer lunches (see my lunch recipe of halal beef burger) or spicy dishes (such as beef nihari – you can try my easy instant pot nihari recipe)
Q: Is it okay to use mango pulp (canned version) if fresh mangoes aren’t available?
A: Yes, but make sure it’s halal-certified and unsweetened. The flavor won’t be as vibrant as with fresh Pakistani mangoes.
Q: Are these mango popsicles suitable for toddlers?
A: Absolutely! Just reduce or skip the sweetener. They're naturally fruity and free of additives.
Q: Can I make this popsicle recipe dairy-free?
A: Yes, and it already is! This recipe uses halal-certified coconut milk. You can also try oat milk or almond milk if preferred.
Q: Are mango popsicles good for iftar?
A: Definitely. They're hydrating, light, and energizing — perfect for a halal frozen dessert after a long fast.

Cool down this summer with my Halal Mango Popsicles Recipe — a fruity, refreshing treat made with ripe mangoes, coconut milk, and natural sweetness. Perfect for kids and adults alike, these popsicles are 100% halal and easy to make at home. A must-try for sunny days and mango lovers!
Step 1: Pick ripe mangoes
Go for fully ripe Pakistani mangoes as they’re sweet, rich, and smooth. Peel, slice, and remove the pit. The riper the mango, the better your popsicles will taste.
Step 2: Blend the ingredients
In a blender, combine mango flesh, halal-certified coconut milk, your preferred sweetener (stevia for sugar-free version), lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Step 3: Fill the molds
Pour the blended mix into popsicle molds. If you don’t have molds, you can use paper cups covered with foil and insert sticks in the center. Tap gently to remove any air bubbles.
Step 4: Freeze overnight
Freeze for 6–8 hours or overnight. It’s best to prepare them in the evening and enjoy the next day. Avoid checking too soon as it can affect the texture.
Step 5: Unmold and serve
Run warm water over the molds to loosen. Gently pull out the popsicles and serve right away with fresh mango cubes or mint leaves for garnish.
